My Story

I wrote the following Eulogy for my beloved wife of almost 19 years...She died on November 14, 2012, two days before her 42nd birthday...On December 17, 2012, it would have been our 19th wedding anniversary; She almost made it...Anyway, this Eulogy appeared in The Corpus Christi Caller Times & the Alice Echo News on November 16, 2012...I , however, am the soul author of this Eulogy & I hope that it touches anyone that needs the healing touch of Jesus Christ in their lives...

                                          "Life's Race" / Aimee's Eulogy

      Aimee Lee De Hoyos started her "Life's Race" on 11-16-70. She was born with several life threatening complications. Yet, she was a fighter. As the years went by, Aimee underwent numerous surgeries and through it all, she never gave up, In life, Aimee was a giver not a taker. She touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. Yes, it was very easy for everyone to love Aimee. This is why I fell in love with her. If there has ever been an example of anyone , who could express the love of Jesus Christ, to everybody, it would be Aimee.
     Aimee, finished her "Life's Race" at 12:50 p.m. (Central Time) on 11-14-2012. During her life, she never quit her "Life's Race" but endured. She was determined to finish it. Even though Aimee is no longer with us, she will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew her, forever. Today, she walks with Jesus and the Angels in "Heaven's Streets of Gold". We shouldn't be sad for Aimee because we will see her again, if we do not lose hope and stay focused on Jesus as we run our own "Life's Race", just as Aimee did. In closing; Goodbye, my love from your loving husband, family, and friends...
