My Story

On a bright spring Sunday in Bradenton, Florida nearly thirty years ago, a young wife and soon-to-be mother went into labor. At 3:30am, Allison told her husband, Dan, that it was time to go to the hospital. Not sensing any urgency, dad-to-be calmly took a shower before shuttling Allison to Manatee Memorial. Little Amanda joined the world at 11:03am on Monday, 5lbs 6oz of black haired, blue eyed cuteness.

Six months later, "Amanda panda" had blonde hair and brown eyes, leading some people to jokingly question if her parents had switched babies!

Two years later, Amanda became a big sister. This was a very exciting moment for her, and she couldn't wait to play with her real life baby doll!

While criss-crossing the country and making stops in Tampa, Birmingham, Ventura (CA), Orlando, Atlanta, and San Antonio, Amanda developed a love of dance and music that continues to this day. Amanda was a competitive dancer for ______ years and in high school was president of her chorus. She even got to sing for President Bush!

When Amanda was 20, her own bouncing bundle of joy entered the world. Joshie, with blonde hair and brown eyes of his own, looks just like his mom and has her same sweet heart.

Amanda is now beginning a new career as a real estate agent and is also a full-time, hardworking, awesome mom to Joshie. In her free time, Amanda loves dancing, singing, and playing with her dog and cats. In the summer months, you can probably find her at the lake!
