You loved the little things in life, your tape, TV, and pocketknife.
You knew your history, planes and wars, battleships; you’d take the tours.
You loved your boxing Saturday nights, Ali & Frasier - now those were fights!
You loved to joke and tell funny stories, with an audience you were in your glory.
You loved your doo-wops, sang like the pros - Cadillac’s, Frankie Lymon the list just grows.
You were a Yankee tried and true; you wore the stripes, their flag you flew.
You loved your job at RCA; there like a second family you’d say.
You loved your friends both new and old, showed loyalty, a heart of gold.
You loved your sisters, nephews, nieces, loved your family all to pieces.
You loved your Natalie and she loved you. You were her favorite playmate too! You taught her how to touch her nose, sing lullabies and put things between her toes!
You loved your wife, she was your friend. You made her happy till the end. You made her smile throughout the years, made her laugh and wiped her tears. You were a faithful, loving man – for 31 years you both held hands.
You loved me, raised me - gave me life. You always taught me wrong from right. “Just know I love you,” you would say, you didn’t want to go away. You told that when you were gone, you wanted me to carry on.
So here I am to let you know – we can never let you go!
You were a wonderful friend, brother, uncle, grandfather, husband and father.
All the tape in the world couldn’t fix the hole you left in our hearts!
I love you and miss you already Dad
