Fugate, Elmer L. 75, of Hamilton,
died at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 1:00pm. He
was born in Hamilton, on October 31, 1934 to parents Elmer and Nancy (Logan)
Fugate. Elmer retired from Champion Papers in 1993, after 40 years. He was known as “Big E” to many and spent
numerous years coaching and playing softball for CEAA at Thompson Park. Elmer
leaves behind his wife Macy (Selkirk) Fugate; son: Randy (Anne) Fugate;
daughters: Jennifer Sibert and Angela Fugate; grandchildren: Jeremy Fugate, Casey
Fugate, Ashley Philpot, Timothy Fugate, Christina Fugate, Demi Stone, Lauren Sibert,
Skye Allering; 8 great-grandchildren, numerous other family members and countless
friends. “E” touched many lives over
that past 75 years and will be greatly missed by all. No formal funeral
services will be held. An informal
gathering to celebrate “E’s” life will be held by the family on Saturday,
October 2, 2010 from 1:00 – 4:00 at Thompson Park, 3024 Hamilton Richmond Road. Anyone wishing to pay their respects is
welcome, ball hats and cigars required. In
