She was a special person with a kind heart so my Mother said. I was only 1 when she passed on and the greatest memory I have is I took my very first steps for her. She struggled though life, my Grandad was in the Navy so Nanna looked after 7  her children one of whom is my Mum. She worked hard making sure everything was fine. Too the end wasn't nice she became ill and had to go in a nursing home and this made my Mum upset, before that she lived with my Mum and dad and my Brothers and sisters. Then she couldn't cope when she found out she was pregnant at 45 with me. I was 1 year old and she was due to come home to live with us a week before she passed. The sad part is 1 out of 7 children cared. My Mum was devasted by her passing and still is nearly 25 years later. It's heartbreaking to think she put all the effort in to take care of her children during the war and only 1 ever loved her. (My Mum) Now her picture rests on her own shelf in my house.
