In Memory of, Connor William Whitaker December 2, 2009
There was a meeting up in heaven
Grandpa, Shelley, and the angels gathered around.
God spoke, "Connor will soon be coming,
Let the trumpet sound."
Make way for My tiniest angel,
"God said, "For Connor is almost here"
Watch over him; I must go now
And help dry his families tears"
And so Grandpa and Shelley listened
and heard me as I prayed,
Tears fell from their eyes to
what I had to say.
"I'm human and I’m weak Dad and Shelley,
I don't know what to do;
I need Your love and strength,
And Your help to guide me through."
Connor, "I can't hold you…
Or count your fingers and toe's.
Nor wrap you in a blanket,
or kiss your little nose."
"I'll never feel your heartbeat, or heard you even cry, I will never see your hands grasp my finger or your feet move with joy.
"I'll never hear, "I love you"
Or "mommy please hug me"
It hurts so much to want you,
Knowing you were meant to be."
I know your with Grandpa and Shelley and will never be alone, I know they will take good care of you until I am called home"
Although you were taken from me,
You will always feel my love.
I know God will allow this
In His kingdom up above."
Love, Mommy
