My Story

Derek was my stepdad, he came into my life when i was 8 yrs old, he was a guy with a good sense of humour, but also a stern side if u did wrong, he was there for me up untill his passing, sadly we lost mum 11 yrs previous but they spent a happy 31 yrs together, but are now happily re-united and are now buried together in the same plot where no one can seperate them again, Del as i called him spent a lot of his life as a truck driver, and i spent many days and hours with him out on the road, and done many miles with him all over the country, hence i became a trucker myself when i was old enough, we worked together quite a bit, we did taxi driving for the same company and worked in security together, during his early life he served his country in the royal navy for 9 yrs, and saw active service in the golf, sadly after giving up smoking for 24 yrs he contracted lung cancer, he was a great guy and a good father, he will be greatly missed by me and my kids, god bless DEL may u find the peace and tranquility u deserve, and may u and mum find eternal happiness. loved and remembered always. simon xxxxxxxx
