My Story

Eleanor M. FLAVELL (nee Meikle), 77, of Hallstead, PA, formerly of Kearny, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012. Beloved wife of Herbert for 57 years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Kathleen and Briant Bodrato of Northvale, Karen and Patrick Flavell-Boney of Northvale, Cynthia and the late John Demmer of Northvale, Michael Flavell and Robert Flavell, both of Hallstead, PA. Cherished grandmother of Nicole and her husband Shawn, Meghan and her fiancé Michael, Shawn, Shane, Ashley, Jordan, Erin, Christopher and Jenna. Adored great-grandmother of Andrew, Tyler and Shaelynn. Dear sister of the late Robert Meikle. Also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Flavell was a proud past-president of the NJ State Ladies Auxiliary of the National Association of Letter Carriers. She was a loving mother who opened up her home to many foster children.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday 11 AM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
