My Story

Gladys Irene Laisle March 19th 1910-April 5th 2007
Gladys was the only woman I ever knew, that gave more than she asked. She would give anything to anyone, and she loved nothing more than to make someone else happy. She never complained about anything as far as I can remember. She had a hard time hearing, and to be honest it could be funny at times. She was a very funny old woman, and could tell you stories from WWI. She had been through a whole lot of tragedy; for instance 4 out of 6 of her children passed on before her. And that's more tragedy than any one woman should ever have to go through. My grandmother was a very strong woman, and I hope I can make her proud! She was never one to turn anyone away. She was a very successful Stanley Home Products Salesperson for 52 years and loved it . Not only was she uncommonly kind, but, she had the ability to see the beauty in others, even, and, perhaps most especially, when that person could not see it in themselves. There is no one else like her in this entire world. We love and miss you Grandma!!
