Your joy for life transmitted where ever you took your smile and the sparkle in those unforgettable eyes.......Above all we give thanks for the life of a man I am so proud to be able to call my father, the unique, the complex, the extraordinary and irreplaceable Jack whose life, both internal and external, will never be extinguished from our minds. And because there was no deception in him, his praise meant more than just about anything else. Here is a poem that reminds me of Jack........

If I should die and leave you here a while,
Be not like others sore undone,
Who keep long vigil by the silent dust.
For my sake turn again to life and smile,
nerving thy heart and trembling hand
to do something to comfort other hearts than thine.
Complete these dear unfinished tasks of mine.
And I perchance may therein comfort you.

And with this I leave you
Say not in grief "he is no more",
but live in thankfulness that he was.
