Jason Patrick Jones entered this world in Crown Street Womans hospital on the 9th December 1972 as the much loved son of Diane and Denis Jones. As he grew up he showed an interest in bikes, computers and swimming and fishing. Jas quickly learned the art of escaping. At 18 months old he had perfected the art of climbing out of his cot, climbing out the window, and walking up to his Grandmothers who lived up the top end of our street. On the first day of school Jason again tried to escape. Jason was always disappearing only to reappear later with the words 'why were you worried Mum, I knew where you were all the time'. Jason played soccor as a young boy for Revesby Rovers and soon excelled at the sport being left footed. Later on Jason showed interest in the video games of the day and had one of the first computers on the market. He went on to study computer science and was well known for his computer talents. It was Jasons way of unwinding and relaxing and he loved to play war games. If you never had a movie or game or computer program burned by Jason then you missed out on his passion.
When he got a job at Australia Post as a postie that gave him an opportunity to afford his other passion of off road bikes with his brothers Denny & Aaron. They'd often hit the bush for their "leisurely activities" if you know what I mean.
Jason had one son - Jace Jones whom he loved with his all his heart. Jace was a chip of the old block. If ever a father and son were alike it was Jason & Jace, in mannerisms, looks and the same laid back sense of humour. Whenever a new computer game was released Jace always had it before we even knew about it. When the latest movies came out Jace had always seen it and had a copy before it was even released.
Jason loved his job with Australia Post, loving the freedom of being outdoors on the road. Jason always had a driving ambition to own his own home and the family were aware that Jason left good provisions for his son Jace Jones for when he turns 18 to buy property.
Jason our son, our brother, our Grandson, our cousin, our nephew, our inlaw, our Father (Jace), our friend, our everything will be forever loved and remembered for the joy he brought to our lives in the short time God loaned him to us. He always brought a smile to our faces.
Jason we love you, we miss you, and we hope to see you again.
With love your family & friends.
