A loving Son and Father, Johnny was born in Virginia and most recently resided in Clearwater Florida. He graduated from Grundy Senior High, class of 1988 and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his Daughter, Brianna of Mavisdale Virginia; his Mother Josephine Matney of Grundy Virginia; two Sisters, Jearline Bledsoe and husband Charles Lee of Big Stone Gap Virginia and Lorine Matney of Pinellas Park Florida; One Brother, Tommy and wife Shawntelle of Honolulu Hawaii; two nieces, Melissa McKinney, and husband Patrick of Big Stone Gap Virginia and Michaela Renee Matney of Honolulu Hawaii; one Nephew, David Bledsoe of Big Stone Gap Virginia.
Services will be held at Virginia Funeral Home at Slate Creek Virginia. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, January 14 at 6 p.m. with song service at 7 p.m. The funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 15 at 2 p.m., followed by burial at Mountain Valley Memorial Gardens at Big Rock.
