Levi Scott Minard
July 9th, 1981 - September 17th, 2005
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13.
Our son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, loyal friend and protector was taken from us on September 17th, 2005, and though we grieve our loss, we take comfort that he is now in the hands of the Lord where he will suffer no more.
Levi was born in Billings, Montana on July 9th, 1981. Levi lived his life to the fullest, overcoming many adversities which he faced courageously. Always happy go-lucky, he inspired all those he came into contact with.
A two-time cancer survivor along with a car accident and several close calls, he never let himself get down, but rather lifted others up around him. May he leave us with just a fraction of his strength and courage.
Through all his trials he still pursued his education resulting in his graduation with honors from Lincoln Center with a GED in the Spring of 2005.
Levi was preceded in death by two great grandfathers and one great-grandmother. he leaves behind his family which includes his mother, Kimberly (Jerome Hugs, Jr); brothers, Jimmy and Rory Birkett, Jerome III and Jericho Hugs; sisters Heather Johnson and Kaitlin Hugs; very special grandparents, Thelmar and Margaret Thorson, great-grandmother, Ragna Thorson; his birth father,
Jeffrey Minard; along with his family he recently established a relationship with which brought fulfillment to his life; his step-father, James Birkett III who helped raise him through his youth; aunts and uncles, Barb and Paul Sunderland, Dave and Kathy Thorson, Twyla Amundson, Ralph and Susan thorson, along with numerous cousins; three nephews and one niece; his family from Pryor, the Hugs and Glenns' along with his many friends who he also considered family.
He will be missed by all but especially his younger siblings, Kaitlin, Jericho and Jerome, who adored their big brother who always made special time for them.
The family wishes to thank those who have given comfort and kind words in our time of grief.
Levi, you will never be forgotten. We are all so proud of you! We love and miss you always.
