On Wednesday, April 2, 2008 Lorain Buchanan Boger, 73, was promoted to Glory in Good Shepard Hospital following a brief illness.
As Lorain entered into her eternal home, waiting to welcome her were her parents, Robert and Emma Buchanan, a brother J. W. Burrow, a loving brother-in-law, Robert Stanley Bryant and a very special nephew, Robert Douglas Petty.
Left to celebrate the live of faith and love she lived are her husband, Harold Royce Boger, her twin sister and best friend, Louise Buchanan Bryant, daughters and son-in-laws Deborah and Terry Stone of Elizabeth City, NC, Sandra Michelle and Frank Valenza of Longview, Tx., son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Kathy Reese of Joinersville, Tx. Sharing in the joy of being a part of Lorain’s family are Robert William Bryant and wife Nikki, Patricia Jeanette Johnson and husband David. Because Lorain and sister, Louise, shared in the love and nurturing of their combined families there is no distinction between grandchildren. The grandchildren that will know the love she had for God and others are Shawna Twist and her 5 children, Christina and Randy Blake and their 5 children, Toni and Ronald Sawyer, Logan and Ethan Valenza, April and Stephen Benson and their 2 children- Alissa and Tyler, Darlene and Robert McCommon and their 3 children, and Jeffrey Burrow, sister-in-law and friend, Charlene Stevens. There are numerous other family and friends that have been blessed in knowing and sharing the faith with Lorain throughout her time on earth.
The family welcomes all to join in celebrating her life on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 4:00 PM at Lakeview Funeral Home. Officiating will be Majors John Tolan and Major Robert Winters.
