PETE KIRK MASON “SKINS”
Pete Kirk Mason “Skins” was born May 21, 1976 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital in Carson City, Nev. He passed away at his home unexpectedly on April 17, 2008, at age 31. He is now at peace in the loving arms of Jesus.
Pete Kirk was a lifelong avid hunter and fisherman, and member of Ducks Unlimited and the NRA. He was also a member of the Mountain Bass Association. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and his seasonal job as a weed warrior with the Bureau of Land Management.
Pete Kirk is survived by his loving devoted family: mother Gail Mason; sister Denise Bosse’; nieces Katelyn, Kyla and Keely, of Janesville, Calif.; half brothers Greg and Mike Mason. In addition he leaves behind cousins Jason Beaton, of Sacramento, Calif; Ryan and Tara Beaton, of Loomis, Calif.; Ona Webb and Clint Mason; aunt Annette and uncle Daniel Sedey of Reseda, Calif.; aunt Jan and Uncle Phil Beaton of Henderson, Nev.; and grandmothers Maxine Whaley of Woodland Hills, Calif.; and Virginia Boyers of Rancho Murietta, Calif.
Pete Kirk leaves behind many friends as well. Pete Kirk’s father, Randal (Pete) Scott Mason, preceded him in death on Dec. 2, 2006.
A memorial to celebrate Pete Kirk’s life was be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3 at Community Evangelical Free Church at 110 N. Gay St., Susanville, Calif.
Donations may be made in Pete Kirk Mason’s memory to CEFC “Celebrate Recovery.”
