Phoebe Ann Cook, 73, Casa Grande, Ariz., passed away
Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at her residence in Arizona. Phoebe
was born to the late Robert and Callie (Parsons) Grubbs on Feb. 1,
1938, in Searcy, Ark. Her marriage to Wayne T. Cook, who survives,
was on July 11, 1956, in Kokomo.
Phoebe enjoyed doing crafts, weaving, playing Bingo, traveling, and
most of all, her family.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne T. Cook; two sons, Mark S.
(Victoria) Cook and Timothy S. (Dot) Cook; a daughter, Angel L.
(Rick) Moss; five sisters, Thelma (Kenneth) Fields, Kokomo, Emma
Cook, Kokomo, Lennie (Ralph) Wilson, Kokomo, Marie (Tim)
Moorcroft, Panama City, Fla., and Carol (Danny) Stigdon, Kokomo;
two brothers, William Bird, Kokomo, and Tom Bird, Searcy, Ark.; 10
grandchildren, Tiffany, Heather, Caley, Brian, Christina, Greg,
Malyna, Rodrigo, Clarissia and Tori; four great-grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, John W. Cook;
one sister, Mary Jane Tritt; and one brother, George Grubbs.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary Main
Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at
the mortuary with Mike Markley officiating. Entombment will follow in
Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the
American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be provided at the
mortuary.
