Todd Torok

I moved to Elkhart, IN in 1972 from the Chicagoland area. Todd was my next door neighbor in Oak Manor and at 14 years old, was the first "new kid" I met. I remember spending hours at Todd's house listening to music while he rocked out on his drums. In 1982, while working for my fathers RV company, I drove from Elkhart to Riverside CA. to set up an additional production plant. I lived in Riversi...

My band played a lot with Todd and the Nursery, and he always amazed us nice, kind, dependable normal dude and yet a drummer. How did that happen? : ) Fond memories of him shouting "Baby needs new shoes" during their "Vegas" song. I believe our big "Woodstink" concert was held down in Hermosa at Todd and Shauna's place? That was just another hi-larious day in our band's shared history. ...

Hey Todd, thanks for being one of the first people to say hello to me when I moved to Hermosa, lonely in a town full of strangers. I looked forward to seeing you stroll into Hennessey's, always with a smile and a kind word (or several!) There are few people left in this world who are just nice, without reason or agenda. We lost one of them when we lost you. Take care, friend.
