In loving memory of the wonderful boy we knew and loved in Egypt, known to us as "Michael" or sometimes "Mike."
What I remember best about Michael was how sweet, kind, considerate, and respectful he was all the many times he was in our home playing with our children and the other friends who all used to come tumbling into our home on Fridays or Saturdays. He was loving, and was the peacemake...
Michael was indeed a gentle soul, and I am so grateful for the joy he brought to the lives of my children in Cairo, and to my own as well. As I think of him, I can usually see him bringing me his empty plate, and hear his voice saying "Thank you so much, Aunt Mary, it was all really good!"
Michael, you were, and are, a wonderful young man, truly a gift to us all. Now you are "forever young" ...
For the joy and privilege of knowing you, of hearing you call me "Aunt Mary," and for all you mean and continue to mean to me and our family, I can't really say it better than you did. So, I'll borrow from your own words with which you used to thank me, look way beyond and send them back to you, dear forever-young man, "Thank you, Mike, it was all really good!"
