My Story

My Dad Ricky Dean Kiser was one of the greatest men I knew.  He was so fun to be around and he always made people laugh.  You could always count on my dad to make you feel better no matter what was wrong.  It really came naturally to him.  He was never afraid to make an "ass" of himself just to make people laugh and feel good.  He loved his family and friends.   He seemed to get the short end of the stick alot when it came to life situations though weather it be his fault or not.   As I got older I do know onr thing for sure and that is that he TRULY LOVED HIS GIRLS.   He helped me in a way he will never know because showing me growing up that we always had to make our time together count and to make wonderful memories while we had the chance is the way I raise my children now.  Because of my Dad I have many great and wonderful memories of him and I having tons of fun along with my sister's,  sure some was dangerous and now that I am a mom myself I would like to have the chance to ask him what in the hell he was he thinking letting us drive when we were 8 or younger or putting us on go-carts and motorcycles or three wheelers when we were just barely good at riding bikes.  But we always had a blast!  Oh yea and the way he taught us to swim was a little scary, throwing us off the side of the boat and telling us to swim or drown,  Yes we swam,  he must have known we were ready or HE REALLY WAS CRAZY.  I could go into so many stories and all of them would be so fill with LOVE, LAUGHTER and TOGETHERNESS but if you knew my dad you knew how he was.  This is what he left behind for all of us.
I was EXTREMELY hurt by his girlfriend when she refused to give me and my sister's my dad's stuff because legally it IS ours since they were not married.  It hurt that she would keep what things were left of his from us but I know she was in pain to.  I know she had to deal with it in her own way,  I just wish it would have turned out different.  Because weather she realizes it or not but she LOST the most important things to my dad and that was his girls and grandchildren.  She could of held onto him alot better by still being apart of his daughters lives.  I forgive her for being petty because she is the one who is alone.    I also realized I didn't need material things to feel close to my Dad because I AM APART of him.  My Dad was one of a kind and he will never be forgotten.  If you have any thing would like to add please feel free.  WE ALL LOVED MY FATHER.
