Bob was one of the sweetest guys around. He grew up in South Carolina. He got married and had three children (Queenie, Robert and Daniel). Later in life he moved to New York where he re-married and had three more children (Dwayne, Barbara and Robert Greggory). He drove a truck for Castle Oil for many years until retirement.
His favorite past-time was fishing. A small white boat would often be seen parked in the driveway of his home in Queens. It was one of several boats that he owned throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing with friends and family. Me and my brother would go fishing with him for hours. I don't remember us catching much but dad did. His freezer was often stocked with fish that he caught and often had for breakfast (fish and grits) was one of his favorite meals. Planting vegetables like tomatoes cucumbers was also something he enjoyed and grew them in his back yard.
Playing cards was another one of his favorite past times. Spades was his game and if you weren't on his time chances were you lost. He house was the hang out spot on the weekends. Friends and family, young and old often stopped by for a little boos, cards and conversation.
