My Story

Ruth Thompson, 90, of Paragould died Wednesday, July 7, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.

She was born in the Coffman community in Greene County and was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God.

Survivors include one son, A.W. Thompson of Paragould; four grandchildren, Lisa Tabor, Kevin Thompson and Brad Thompson, all of Paragould, and Kim Price of Jonesboro; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. A.C. Thompson; one son, Burrell Thompson; and her parents, Arthur and Kitty Coffman Wadley.

Her great-grandchildren include Shelly Lee, Brooke, Baylie, and Ella Tabor, Mallory (Thompson) Williams, Marshall, Mackenzie, Maggie, Chris, Kyle, & Kodie Thompson.

Ruth and Rev. A.C. meet when she was in the eighth grade while playing hide-n-seek, and then married June 16th, 1932.
