Samar Brown was an amazing little boy. like most two yr olds, he loved to play, was very curious, he loved to be outside running, jumping, etc. Most of all he loved to spend time with his father Big Sam.
His bright and shining personality could light up an entire room, however that flame would be short lived. No one had ever imagined Samar's life would come to an tragic end.Samar's (lil Sam) mother met a wolf in sheep's clothing nick named "too tall". As months went by "too tall" moved in with Samar and his mother.
Everything seemed good until he started beating this innocent, helpless little boy. Evidence show that this had happened on more than one occasion.
On June 27,2009 his small body could take no more, he was rushed to the hospital the morning of June 27th, by ambulance where he passed away to a better place. The autopsy revealed that he had multiple injuries which included broken ribs.He had been scald with hot water, he had burns over his body(his skin was peeling). He had a punctured spleen and liver, a ruptured kidney, broken nose, a head injury, a hand print over his mouth which suggested that someone placed their hand over his mouth to keep his screams from being heard, and various bruises in different stages of healing.
Even the medical examiner had broken down in tears and stated he was in a better place because he had been tortured.
The nite of June 27,2009 the sick animal (who has two children of his own) confessed to Samar's murder only after learning that he failed the lie detector test. He has been charged with 1st degree murder, he had no explaination what so ever as to his motive for brutally murdering this you child.
This sick individual even poured a household cleaner on this helpless baby's face to try to cover up what he had done. The child's mother who was supposed to be his protector has yet to be charged.
Mothers and Fathers we need to be more aware of the individuals we are bringing around our children. Just because someone seems nice are doesn't seem like they would do something like that doesn't mean they won't. We as parents are responsible for the safety and well being of our children. Please don't be so willing to trust someone.
I hope that by sharing Samar's story it will raise awareness so that other children's lives will be saved. Please don't let Samar's death be in vain.
If there is a child who you know is being abused PLEASE SEEK HELP IMMEDIATELY PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT OR DIAL 911. Remember that a child can not seek help on their own it is our responsiblity to keep them safe.
