My Story

Sam was born in 1941 in Fairfield Iowa to Clarance and Alma Shoemaker. in 1943 the family relocated to Kitsap county where He met and married Karin Hewitt and raised 3 daughters, Janiece, Jolene, and Audra.. When Sam and Karin divorced, he moved to Seattle, Wa to be closer to his employment at Seattle Truck Repair where he worked for 25+ yrs eventually started a life with Lyla Sorenson. After retirement arrived Sam relocated to McCall Id where he spent his time involved with the snowmobile club and worked as a trail groomer, a position he loved, respected and looked forward to doing..

Sam was preceeded in death by his middle daughter Jolene in 2009, His survivors include but not limited to his 2 daughters Janiece, and Audra, 5 grandchildren - Karie, Karryn, Stephen, Kelsie, and Brianna and 8 great-grandchildren. His long time companion Lyla, a brother Joe, and 3 sisters, Shirley, Dee, and Kim, MANY MANY extended family and friends, And A special BUD ZEUS.
