My Story

This tribute is made in collaboration with my friend Joyce, the mother of the deceased. We do both work with youth and adults with suicidal thoughts.

Savannah Hope was born to Joyce and Neville Hoppkins, the second of 4 daughters. She was born 3 years after her older sister, Juliana Faith. Her two younger sisters is Patricia Joy and Maddison Grace. Since the day she started school, she has been bullied by her classmates and other students. It has been many painful years and resulted in suicide. Savannah never talked about her problems. She trusted her sisters, but none gave any others the message. They did not know that she would kill herself.

Savannah always smiled. She was helpful and good to everybody around her. It breaks people to know, that it all was just a mask to hide all of the pain inside.

We hope, that the pain Savannah and her family have been through, can get others to think of the consequences of bullying. Savannah's family lost a great part of their family and her sisters lost a great friend, too. So all we can say is: Think before you act. Stop bullying!
