my mother was an excellent cook. A significant amount of her chops were developed at YWCA classes that she took in 1975 in Palo Alto. She took one on Moroccan cooking, one on Chinese, and probably several others. The family benefited for decades. Plus, the YWCA had a kick-ass day care center. =)
