This is dedicated to my loving son Shane Bennett. Shane was my third son of nine children. Shane was a loving grandson to Frances Hamlton and she misses you dearly. He was a loving brother to Jason and Arron and triplet sisters Jaimee, Chelsea and Nicole and his stillborn sister Sharde and twin brothers Ethan and Pheonix.  Shane was raised in Rotorua and was a kind, protective and giving person who would help anyone who needed help.Shane was a father at 17 to Maia-Rose who was 3years old when her daddy died, he loved her so much.
Shane was a daredevil who loved skate boarding, bmx riding and so many times he would get hurt doing his tricks but he would just swear and get up again. He worked at Damar for two years, then did some fork lift driving at kiwifruit and then when his relationship broke up he moved to Melbourne where his older brother lived. He got a job as a welder for coach builder of buses. He loved this job and his new life,and all the new friends he made. the only thing hard for him was being away from his little girl. He missed his family and friends but was happy with his new life.
Shane was a loyal person who lived life to the fullest and loved his weed, blunts, friends,and skateboarding. He had lots of friends and was funny and loved music especially his rap.he also thought he was bullet proof. I would always say "be careful"and he always replied "dont worry im alright."
Well Shane, you made a bad call one night that would cost you your  life and show everyone how much you were loved, respected and missed. He just bought a car the night before that wasnt warranted or rego and you being you thought you could duck down the road to see a mate, well an undercover cop spotted you on the way home. You were not a drunk driver, just a driver driving an illegal car and you decided to run from them. I know you didnt want fines etc but honey look what happened, you loss your life. You arent bullet proof and now we dont have you here anymore, to laugh with, hug and talk to.
We know you are sorry and you know what you did was stupid and we  wish this was a nightmare we can all wake from but every morning we wake up and you are not there. We miss you so much and love you forever and you will always be in our hearts.....
