Sister Rosemary Shinachi's Life story
Healthy
and happy baby, born from lovely parents Mr. Jonathan Otunga Baraza who rested
in 1998 and Ms. Loice Nasike who also rested in 2001. I met my late brother
Aggrey Otunga on December 28th 1956 and we enjoyed each other’s
company until the time he rested while a student in form two.
Raised
from a polygamous family, l loved my siblings and my step mothers without
boundaries. Grew up in a family of 4 girls and 18 boys. Lived with Mama Floice
Muyaku Otunga who raised me up with my other two brothers John Baraza Otunga
and Charles Andalla Otunga, the moments we shared together are memorable.
Joined
Ingotse Primary School and later proceeded to President Kennedy High School in
Kitale, and thereafter to Lirhanda Girls where l cleared my O’levels. The love
for sports was my passion: athletics, netball, volleyball and football. Joining
Mwihila Mission Hospital to pursue my training as an enrolled nurse gave my
life meaning and great determination for the life, excelled and graduated from
the medicine school in 1972. Thereafter l was posted to Alupe Leprosy Hospital
in Busia where l began my career practice.
In April
1973 l gave my life to Jesus Christ that is when l discovered that one day in
the house of the LORD is better than 1,000 elsewhere.
