My Story

On the evening of Friday, November 20, three-year-old Dimi was involved in an auto collision along with his mother, Anna "Annoula" Stathos and her fiance, Remy Dubois. Their car was struck by a motorist who lost control of his truck on a mountain road near Sparta. Dimi, Annoula and Remy were rushed to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Although a full recovery was expected for the adults, little Dimi suffered severe head trauma. After two surgeries and days of prayer, God chose to take this little angel back to heaven at 11:02 am Tuesday, November 24. Dimi was the light of our lives. He was happy and vivacious and always brought a smile to everyone's lips and eyes! We will miss him beyond words. As Annoula and I were born in the United States, we celebrate the American holiday of Thanksgiving. Yesterday my family gave thanks for having known our precious baby Dimi. Even though our time with him was much too short, we feel truly blessed by God for getting the chance to love him. A private family website is being constructed for Demi. It will be available in Greek, English and French, and will contain photo albums. Details will be posted on this site.
