My Story

Taylor was born November 11th, 2005, I could tell her story from day 1 and relay all the medical information, diagnoses and struggles but I would really like to focus on trying to capture what made our Taylor so special.

Taylor captured our hearts without saying a word.  She would give the biggest smiles in the morning when we would get her out of bed and she would gasp and smile like it was Christmas morning when you would hand her a sippy cup with milk.  Even though she might have kept us up most all night with her sleeplessness, you couldn't help but hug and kiss that little face in the morning, cause she was just that sweet.  While most kids would watch cartoons in the morning, she was just as content watching Sportscenter!  Why she loved basketball, we could not figure out.  It's just Taylor.

She loved the simple things in life, her favorite toys, cartoons, and snuggles!  Her ball popper and busy gears kept her busy inside, as well as throwing any small toys all around the house.  We went on a lot of walks, to the park and swimming (this girl LOVES water).  We were delighted to hear stories from school and how much she enjoyed being near the other children.  I did hear a story about how she threw a fit when she had to leave the classroom and go to therapy...yes, she did have a bit of a temper too!  Often, it just made us laugh when she got mad, like throwing a fit when a commercial came on in the middle of a basketball game.

She liked to shop and laugh at the people of Wal-mart, she was our helper, trying to put items in the cart no matter how big or small.  But seriously, she would look right at people and laugh at them.  She had the best belly laugh and to make it funnier, you really didn't always know what she was laughing at.

It is an honor and a privledge to be her parents, she changed us for the better in so many ways.  I think she taught us more than we taught her.  She will be loved and missed everyday of our lives.  I'm sure there is more of her story to tell and I'll continue to try and tell it, but for now, here it is, our angel Taylor's story.
