Tony’s children would like to say a few words about there father,
Anthony Ortiz, son : I remember Dad would be out often sharing his creative fish tales to the people in the community.
Alfred Ortiz, son : I miss you already, but I know that you are in a place that has the surroundings you deserve. You will make the light shine in that place and I will always be looking at that light, I love you Dad.
Merlinda Sandavol, daughter : My memory with my Dad was a recent trip to Albuquerque N Mexico in 2009. We talked and spent time together and I enjoyed the time we had by our selves on the road. You will always be remembered as my father and a grandfather.
Eddie Ortiz, son : Honoring my Dad’s life is celebrating my own, knowing that my own path and success were due in part to the pride I took in myself to make a life that he would be proud to see me do.We had our differences, but that never meant he was not loved or honored. In many ways I understood him , and in many I didn’t. He had pride strength, and he lived life on his own terms. I am honored to come from him. We are the choices we made. Dad was a very proud and privet man, I respected that about him and know that I have always managed my life parallel to what I learned from him as a child, it has served me well in my adult years. he is resting now and it gives me inner peace to know that he was proud of me and whom I have become. He smiled when he was shown something I had done recently, he showed everyone and set it on his night stand all night , and then he passed.
Ruthie Eaton, daughter : In loving memory of my father as sad as it is that you have been taken, there is much joy in my heart that you are at peace. We will continue in you honor to carry out as Dad, Grandfather and friend. I thank you for so many gifts of life lessons that you have given me. I will share them with my kids in your honor.
Tony’s family would like to express their many thanks and appreciation to the Golden Umbrella who helped us through many rough years, and to the Burney Annex where he lived till his last days of life. The staff was compassionate and treated our father with love, care and dignity.
