Arthur Floyd Dell passed away Wednesday January 16 in West Hills.

He was born September 3, 1925 in Port Huron, Michigan, to Paul Floyd Dell and Mabel Christine Draper. He served in the Seabees during WWII. After leaving the Navy, he attended Albion College where he was a Sigma Chi, and earned his teaching credential.

Art moved to California and started teaching in 1954. He was an elementary teacher for Los Angeles Unified School District for more than 40 years. He remained active in the Los Angeles Retired Teachers Union and was a life member of the Masonic Lodge. Also he ushered for the Los Angeles Angels Baseball Team in Anaheim.

Arthur married Doris Maxwell 1969 in the Sepulveda Unitarian-Universalist Society. He was actively involved with the Unitarians as a past president of Camp deBenneville Pines and the Sepulveda Unitarian-Universalist Society.

A celebration of his life will be held at Sepulveda Unitarian-Universalist Society, Sunday January 27, at 2pm.  Please bring a story, photo, or other rememberance to share.
