My Story

Avalisa Sasha-gay Morris also known as Ker,Ava and Lisa was the beloved daughter of Kenute Morris and Valrie Grant. She was born July 02 1984 in Little London Westmoreland, Jamaica W.I. where she lived with her mother and father. She attended the Bay Road Basic School at age 3, from 1987-1991. She then attended the Savanna-La-Mar primary school where she participated in the school's marching band from 1991-1997. During this time period her mother migrated to the United States. Avalisa continued to live with her father and grandparents. She attended the Frome Technical High School from 1997-2001. Avalisa migrated to the United States after completing high school in Jamaica W.I where she joined her mother. She attended the Mathematics and Science Campus Magnet High School for one year while working at the Cravings Jamaican Restaurant part time. She then graduated and started working at The Home Depot Store. She then proceeded to attend the York College where she studied Business Management. With the skills and knowledge she gained she went on to pursue a career in banking. She started at the Bank of America, State Bank of Long Island and then Capital One Bank.
Avalisa had a very close knit relationship with her family and friends. She was a very lovable, out going, and helpful person.She always went the extra mile helping her family and friends. Avalisa liked to entertain and host events. At the time of her death she was doing just that, hosting a surprise birth night event for a very close friend. Unfortunately the event ended with Avalisa's untimely death.
Even though Avalisa is not with us physically she is always with us in our hearts and thoughts. Avalisa is sadly missed.
