My Story

Dr. Jacob Assam Ayuk-Takem was born to Ta Ayuk-Takem of Besongabang Village  and Ma Elisabeth Besongako of Ndekwai village in Manyu Division of Cameroon.
He was the General Manager of the istitute of Agronomic research (IRA) from 1989 to when it was merged witht the then IRZ to create IRAD (Institute of Agronomic research for development). He became the first General manager of IRAD until when he was appointed ninister of Scientific research, which he cummulated with his duty ad IRAD General manager. He retired in and was appointed chairman of the board of the National institute of cartography where He served until his demise.
He had a Doctorate degree in Agriculture and was an associate professor in the university of MaryLand, USA from to -.
