My Story

We morn the loss of Bake, loving husband of 65 years to Gloria, dedicated Father to Gaius, Carol and Joy, Grandfather to Chris, Zack, Elizabeth, Juliet, Layne and Jacqueline, Father-in-law to Allen and Jim., friend and mentor to many over his lifetime. He will be greatly missed.

A Hopi Prayer

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am the diamonds glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bake's name to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org, in memory Marion A. Baker.
