My Story

Mary is a very special person to so many people. A grandma to 10 and mom of 2 with great grand kids. Born in springer colorado then moved to lindsay california. After moving to lodi for many years she moved to stockton california where she lived the rest of her years. Unlike any other woman i know she was very strong minded and strong willed. When she was in pain or needed help she wouldnt ask, she just did it. Some of the jobs she had were at silverton dog kennel careing for dogs which she liked doing. She liked working in the cherries either as a checker or picking cherries, once a year she went to washington to work. Many years ago she cared for 4 of her grandkids which went down to 2 after 2 moved with other grandma. A lil while later she lost her sister virginia and took over care for 2 nieces, vanessa and lacyine and her nephew anthony. When they became of age they moved out to start thier own life, still keeping in touch. For many years she cared for kids with no complaints and still took care of business. She is survived by her long time companion in life marcial, we called him mundo.  Mundo has so much love for her he did everything and anything to keep her happy and comfortable. I would go spend weekends with my grandma in my early teens, then i moved in permanently. I later moved in with my boyfriend and 1st child but never far from my gram. After 10 years i moved back in with my 3 kids, levar, ravel and alliyah, who loved their nana very much. Our beloved grandma found happiness being with her grandkids and great grandkids. Johnny whom she fell in love with at birth remained with her,he also gave her a great grandchild alondra. She had to drink 2 cups of coffee before she felt normal, and watch out if she didnt have ciggarettes! Going to yard sales was our past time. All the kids loved nana and when they had a problem they ran straight to nana. When we had a problem we all went to nana to make it better, she gots that touch and words of comfort to make it ok. She loved taking rides to jackson, california to spend time at jackson rancheria where she could play all day on 30 dollars. She no longer feels pain, she is finally getting to sleep and be comfortable, she was ready to go to heaven, sad is what we feel, heartbroken and lost with out her, but she is happy and finally in peace... REST IN PEACE,FOREVER LOVED AND NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN... OUR BELOVED GRANDMA MARY A ROMERO
