My Story

My Dad was very unique, strongly opinionated, always quick to crack a joke, and very adventurous. He always loved to sit and discuss the issues of the day. He went blind in his late 20's, but it never stopped him from doing the things he wanted to do in life. When he'd talk to you, he'd talk as if he could still see everything. He had an impeccable sense of direction. He could always give me directions, and when we were driving to a place he'd been before he could tell if I made a wrong turn. He was very computer savvy, and used them to help him navigate the world. He spent 30 years working for the phone company, and never wanted to use his lack of sight as an excuse not to work. In recent years he became very spiritual, and attended church every week. He used his computer to study scriptures. The last trip he took was to Australia to visit family. He made the long trip alone which was nothing short of impressive.

He loved his family and friends.

He loved his dogs.

He is missed very much.
