Nikki,
This is a beautiful memorial to your Mom. I know she is watching after you.
Love,
Granny
Funny how you also think of people together - I often think of her with my Aunt Ellie, Grandma & Bertie - they would all be over, all the time for dinner, lunch, just hanging out etc... they were "staples" in our house, that made our house full of laughter of love. When I think of Aunt Chris, it will always make me think of my childhood. I'm so glad to have those memories and I do cherish t...
I just remember wanting so badly to play with it. Emily and Mrs. Stagnary. Of course, decorating at Christmas - the paper fireplace, the toilet seat cover decorations and her letting us do the tree. Aunt Chris was all fun, no rules that I can remember. And of course at our house, I just keep having these visions of her walking through the door, and my dad harrassing her about something and ...
I am so sorry I will not be able to be there with you this weekend. I thought I'd try to jot down some memories ( there are so many) of things that made me smile when thinking of growing up with Aunt Chris. Hope they make you smile too!! Here goes - Aunt Chris's fun house on Marshmellow Lane - the scent (good) of her house when you walked in, wether to go left or right, both ways landed in t...
Love you and miss you mom, more than you can know. Love always, Vicki
continued..........I had such a wonderful visit in Michigan and I am so glad that I made the trip. It will forever be a fantastic memory of loving time spent with your Mom & you (Vicky). Even though she was in pain her spirits were high and her laughter was contagious, as was yours. We had a great walk down memory lane and of course a lot a really good giggles!
Love you!
Tracy
I’m just going to pass on a little note that I sent to Vicky last week…… I hope you know how very much I love your Mom and my heart is aching. She was an incredible part of my life and I have so many fond, loving memories of times spent with my Aunt Chris. Swimming in the pool, running around your house like it was an obstacle course, fun sleepovers, brownie troops, arts & crafts, making my Dar...
To Grandma,
(When asked what were the things that we loved about Grandma, this is what Max and Grace had to say word for word:)
she gives me hugs
she gives me treats after bed
she gives me kisses when we leave
we make pictures at Grandma's house
I love Grandma
she gives me money for my bank
she makes food I like
applesauce she gave me
she read me stories and didn't say it's time fo...
I'm barely beginning to find the words. I am still at a loss without you. I just want to pick up the phone and tell you what Max did in school today or that Grace left her dog at your house and needs it to go to bed. You were an incredible mother overcoming just about every obstacle a parent can and what's greater still is you were a rock star grandma. My kids are who they are today largely...
Thank you for the effort, imagination, creativity and love you heaped onto my children.
