Darren Milner was born on the 9th june 1973 in the arms of his mother Carole Milner and proud father Robert milner, Darren was their first child. His brother Lee was born in 1975 then Stuart in 1977 then lastly Ryan in 1979.
They grew up together very close, although they all had there fights Darren was very protective of all his brothers, being there for them whenever needed. His great love when growing up was playing and watching football, Manchester United football club was one of his loves, which spurned him on to be a really great footballer himself, if not for his such early passing, could of actually turned semi-pro at least.
What really stood out with Darren was his absolute loverble nature and very funny sense of humor, which was why he had very many friends and followers that loved him dearly for who he was and for the person he was going to be. One time stood out for me was on the morning of his passing he made his mother smell his dirty sock and pretended to wipe a bogey on her, maybe not funny for some but his cheekiness and sillyness was endearing and he always took people by surprise.
Darren grew up around the Purwell and walsworth area and made many friends including his best friend Arran foard who in fact was there when he passed.
Darren loved everthing in life although he could of had some dislikes but you wouldn't of known. He went to Our ladys primary school in Hitchin until he was 11 then went to St Micheals which then merged with St angela's to become John Henry Newman School. He liked school and loved his friends there, which probably saw most of his mischievous behaviour.
After doing well at school Darren decided to go to college to persue his love of art. St Albans college was his last endevour in life where he enjoyed and embraced his work so much that his future prospects was looking very promising. If not a footballer he would of been an inspiring artist.
On the 2nd of march 1991 whilst enjoying a night out at potters club in Hitchin with his best friends Darren was invited in a car with his friends for a ride. On the Offley road between 6 and 7 pm, the car crashed, the driver escaped with minor injuries,His two best friends were injured severely, Darren died instantly. At 17 yers old his life was tradgically ended. His future was bright and long. This story I'm afraid does not do darren justice, there is so much more about his young life that could be said. Gone but memories never forgotten.
