My Story

LEITH, Douglas Brock – With family and friends by his side, Doug succumbed to his 3-year battle with Ideopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis onMonday, July 8, 2013 at the Toronto General Hospital at the age of 73. He was surrounded by love and humour until the end. Much-loved husband and best friend of Suzie “Sunshine” for 23 years. Dedicated patriarch of the Brady Bunch: father to Trish, Fred, and David, and stepfather to Gillian, Meredith, and Andrew. Very proud Papa of his six granddaughters Megan, Emily, Bridget, Kristin, Charlotte, and Marin. He was a leader in the fleet leasing industry and a lung transplant advocate, but most of all, Doug was a passionate golfer. His love of the game took him to courses around the world,where he won several titles and far more friends. He was a proud member of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. Doug’s zest for life and spirit will be lovingly remembered by his many friends and relatives. The family will be holding a private celebration of his life. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone for their love and support.
