My Story

David, my brother, born Sep 24, 1946 in Salford England  died in Tasmania, Australia, July 24 2008,
Our mother Georgina Emily (nee Mason, b 1918  England, died Sept 12 2007, Abury,NSW, Australia),
lovingly remembered  as Georgi Smith:
Mother's sister, Aunty Mary Elizabeth Moorhouse (nee Mason b July 24 1920 died )
Father, John Elmore Dunham (b 1910, Canada)
Maternal Grandmother, Emily Mason (nee Cocking, b Feb18, 1877 Salford, died 1968 England)
Maternal Grandfather, George Mason (b Feb 23, 1868 Eccles Lancashire England)

David is the older brother of John Wilfred (nee Dunham b Apr 29 1956, Salford 7 England)  living in NSW Australia
His sisters, Gloria Jean (nee Dunham, b Apr 22 1943, Salford 7 England) living in Australia and June Elizabeth  living in Australia
David's and his wife, Pam have two children Katrina and Christine.
Katrina's children are Thomas Clifton, EbonnieRose, Jemima May, William Clancy and Harry Issac

David spent most of his civilian working life in the publishing industry.
He spent sx years in the Civilian Military Forces, travelling to New Guinea during his service.
He was conscripted in 1967 and spent two years in NWS.
On the day he was conscripted he was suffering the symptoms of Malaria, which he contracted in Papua New Guinea, while with the CMF!
He was flat-footed and had miserable eye-sight so they put him in the kitchens.
The latter part of his life he spent finding relief from pain which was the end result of numerous spine operations.

In my teenage years he was my friend, and when I was trying to cook he was my taster and 'guinea-pig'.
That experience probably fortified him for his days in the army.

I always love you and will always remember you, how could I forget; you died on Auntie Mary's Birthday!
