My Story

Ellie was born on the sunday 16th april 2006 the best easter present any mummyy could wish for.I'd been ill for several weeks my waters went on wednseday 12th april 2006 we was transfered to new cross hospital in wolverhampton as they had space in there NNU.AT 7:10pm on the 16th april 2006 baby ellie houghton was born by emergency section.She weighted in at 1lb 6 and half ozs.Ellie was taken straight to the nnu unit and was ventilated.Ellie dad finally got to meet out little princess and hour and half after she was born.He said she was so tiny but a fighter i was so happy.The next morning i finally got to meet my precious daughter.Ellie ws so tiny but prefect cover in tubes and wires.I sat staring at her couldn't believe she was really my daughter.Ellie did really well evrytime she had a bad day she fought back the next day she ha ann operation on her heart to close a duct.she was such a fighter ellie came off ventilator and went onto cpap but her lungs had been damaged too much but the ventilator.After 9weeks 4days me and ellies dad made the heart breaking decision to take ellie of cpap and let her grow her angel wings at 10:45pm on the 20th june ellie took her last breath holding her daddys hand and cudding her mummy.
