Emory Richard Remington, passed away peacefully on May 9th at his home in Riverside , California . Emory was born in Williamston , Michigan on August 3, 1940 to Emory A. Remington and Hazel I. (Fowler) Remington. He was preceded in death by his father Emory in 1944 and his mother Hazel in 2002. He came to California in 1960 with his boyhood friends Roger Cook and Nils Clawson. He served proudly in the U.S. Army. Emory is survived by his wife of 28 years Carlene of Riverside , daughter Christina, future son-in-law Ian Barrett and grandchildren Evelyn and Dorian Barrett of Big Bear City. Daughter Jennifer, son-in-law John Mastro and grandchildren Tyler and Kyle Burns and Alayna Mastro of Menifee, Ca. Sisters Rita Fiddes, Dearborn, Mi. Sister Martha (john) Tsaousis of Port St. Lucie , Florida . He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins. Also known as “Dick”, he was known and loved by all. A quiet person and man of few words. We will treasure the memories. Especially those corney jokes. He was gracious and caring, a true gentlemen. Dick will be sorely missed by his family, friends and co-workers at Safetran Systems.
