My Story

Mom was the most remarkable woman to have ever lived. She loved all people & animals. Kids adored her as she was so kind, soft, compassionate and loving. She told the most amazing storys ever from past experiences that she,d had. She dressed to the nines and was such a lady. In her day she loved to dine and dance. She laughed and smiled and made friends so easily. She battled financially her whole life yet gave her kids only the best. She was very unlucky in love too ,she spent the last 30 years single and i know in her heart she so longed to share her life with someone. Instead she dedicated her life to the lord and became an absolute saint. She gave of herself freely to all including her daughters and grandchildren although her daughters did not treated her kindly she loved them unconditionally...
Mom was exceptionally healthy she excercised ate very heallthy yet on the 25th of November 2007 was diagnosed with high blood pressure 220/100 due to Hypertenson. Mom had a massive stroke at 2am on the morning of the 30th November and was rushed to hospital. Mom was diagnosed with a tummy bug. I transfered mom to another hospital the same day, the doctor on duty insisted mom had not had a stoke but had developed Pneumonia. The following day mom had a heart attack which the doctor said was due to aspiration caused by the Pneumonia. Mom was in ICU until the 9 December. My sister insisted on mom being transfered to another hospital where on the 13th December a brain scan was done proving mom had, had a massive stroke and was been treated incorrectly. Mom passed away at 03:30am on the 20th December2007. My heart is forever broken as mom was my entire life. I adored and worshiped her but never told her that. We would shop up a storm and share clothes and so much more. I was robbed of the best mom ever and have lost faith in South African doctors. My loss is so big it consumes me up completley and by the end of the day im emotional finished. I pray mom you will forgive me for not forcing the doctors to do a brainscan when you were first admitted. Im terribly sorry. My life will always be half empty with out you. I feel responsible for robbing your grandson of his wonderful nana and your unborn grandaughter (whom you so looked forward to meeting) of the best nana ever.

We will miss and pine for you forever more. Rest in peace my beloved mommy and forgive me for my ignorance. I will count the days until we meet again.
