My Story

Jade Alexis Townsend was born Aug.8, 2006 at 10:40am by repeat c-section. She weighed 6 pounds and 7 ounces. She was 19 1/2 inches long. She was the most beautiful baby. She seemed to fit so perfectly in my arms. It wasn't till she was 4 months old that she got really sick with rsv and pneumonia. I took her to the closest hospital and from there they took her to all childrens hospital. It was there that i found out just how sick my baby girl was. They told me she needed to have a surgery to put a tube in her tummy so she could eat and gain some weight. So altogether she had a mickey button in her tummy, Hydrosyfilils wich is liquid in the brain, an ASD in her heart (thats a type of hole), a genitic disorder that kept her from growing, and reactive airway diesae. The first year of her life she was always in and out of the hospital. I watched her go through so much in her short little life. Yet it suprised me how happy she always was. Always smileing, and playing with her toys. God, I miss the sound of her laugh. I' ll never forget that day on Sep. 22, 08 when I found her in her crib not breathing. I called 911 and they rushed her to the hospital. It was there that they told me that she had passed. The worst day of my life. I' ll never forget you Jade and i' ll love you always. You touched the lives of so many people and are missed by many.
