Jeanne was a very loving, caring Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She was a real character with those who knew her. She always had a great sense of humor and popped off with some funny thoughts. She loved doing crafts and creating beautiful works of art.
She bravely lived through the early death of her beloved husband at the age of 47, leaving her with five small children, the youngest being nine years old. Less than a year later, her best friend and mother also passed away leaving her devastated and alone. She bravely carried on and raised, what she considered to be the best five children any mother could ask for. She became a source of strength for all of them.
Luckily, she became close friends with her neighbor, Bill who had suffered the same loss. For the past 30 years, they have carried on a life together as friends and companions. She shared many happy times, and lovingly welcomed four daughters-in-law, one son-in-law and 12 beautiful grandchildren as well as “adopting” Bill’s family as her own.
She had a love for her family that was immeasurable. She always said she had the best, most thoughtful children and thanked God every day for making her so lucky. She had a loving sister, who meant the world to her. Even though separated by distance, they always remained extremely close in each other’s hearts.
Jeanne built a small family empire completely alone and did it with grace, bravery and dignity. She always stressed the importance of family and God. Because of this, our family is a beautiful, loving piece of artwork, which she designed. She was a beautiful woman and will be deeply missed, but always in the hearts of those she touched.
