My Story

Jessie was a great teacher, mentor, and "mother". In addition to her two step-sons, Chad and Bobby, Jessie considered her students as her children. She was also grandmother to Kayla.
Jessie taught elementary and middle school in many states including Louisiana and Tennessee. I started this memorial for her students, friends, and family members to share all the memories they had with Jessie.
I was in Mrs. Jessie's 1991-1992 8th grade English and Homeroom classes at Dutchtown Elementary in Dutchtown, Louisiana. First she was my teacher, then she was my mentor and friend. I saw Jessie face many hardships in her life but I watched her face them with strength and grace.
Please feel free to leave your own personal stories of Jessie and help me add to her life story. If any of her family find this, please e-mail me to fill in the missing pieces.
