When I was on earth I had the bluest eyes, the cutest giggle
and the most mischievous smile. My mommy and daddy feel that I was a gift; not
only to them but to each person I touched in my unique and special way. From my
little friends at daycare to my entire family, I touched everyone’s spirit
who came into my life.
I brought joy, happiness and laughter into all their lives.
They have many memories of me to cherish. My parents thought they would have to
teach me the values and essence of life, but to their amazement at my tender
young age I instilled the values of family, love, happiness, strength, courage and
compassion into their lives.
I loved riding on my four wheeler, snowmobiling, riding on
the tractors and semis, fishing, swimming, playing in the sand, cooking hot
dogs and marshmallows over the bonfire and I loved to watch fireworks. When I
was at a restaurant I used my own fork and knife so I could say I was a big
girl. I also loved to go shopping at “Wallet Mart” for dresses, shoes, and of
course a new doll (baby). Sometimes when no one was looking I would slip a new
soosie into the shopping cart. When I visited the fire hall I enjoyed watching
the fireman slide down the pole, insisting they do it over and over…..
I loved listening to bedtime stories and sometimes
reading/telling them. I even corrected anyone who read to me for I knew those
stories well. Cuddling in bed was one of my favorite things, as well as watching
movies with popcorn and snacks on my bed. I really loved planting colourful
flowers with my grandmas!
I loved spending time with my cousins while getting into
mischief, “The Three Musketeers”, going to the barn to see the kittens and
horses, jumping on the trampoline and playing in the snow. Almost anything
imaginable that a little girl could do I was fortunate enough to experience
because my family loves me.
Mommy and daddy believe that my
little heart and perseverance is summed up by a note my daycare teacher wrote
to them last winter. It says: “Kirsten was pulling two
sleds this morning with two younger children in them, it was getting heavy for
her so she pulled one a little way, then went back to pull the second one, then
back to the first, then second, until they were to the end of the forest.”
