My Story

Corretta (Kitti) King-Soeder was born on May 24, 1950 and died after a long battle with lung cancer on Sunday, December 18, 2011. Cherished mother of Laia Drendall and treasured wife of Nagaraju (Cobra) Tulam. Kitti was the beloved sister of Victoria (Vikki) Wilson, Dr. Anthony E.O. (Tony) King, William (Billy) King III. and William (Billy) Parr as well as close cousin of Justin White. Friends and family wishing to celebrate the life of Kitti will gather at the Henn Mansion in Sims Park, 23131 Lakeshore Boulevard, Euclid, Ohio 44123 on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 1:30 pm.

Kitti lead a full and interesting life. At the age of 30, she joined the Army Reserves and became a Chaplain's Assistant in the 101st Airborne Unit (Screaming Eagles). At the age of 44, she decided to obtain her Bachelor's Degree in English from Cleveland State University from which she graduated in 1999. After traveling to Turkey and India, Kitti decided to use her knowledge to improve the opportunities and lives of people wishing to conduct business with the United States by teaching American Culture and Business Communications in India. She lived on the continent for seven years and taught over 3,000 students. She also met the last of her three husbands, Nagaraju Tulam.

Kitti often remarked that her greatest achievement was the raising of her only child, Laia Drendall. She was a conscientious and devoted mother who will be greatly missed.
