My Story

Miggie was born in W VA. After living there for a few years; his Mother decided to move to Pulaski Co. & raise her family. Miggie went school in Belspring & then on to Dublin High School. He joined the Armed forces in Feb.of '62 & received an honorable discharge in Feb.1965. Miggie met me in early '66...we fell in love and was married in July of '66. During our years together we had three daughters & three sons. Family was his top priority & no one messed with what was rightfully his. Over the years,he watched his children grow into smart and intelligent young men and women. After 26 years into our marriage,Miggie and myself had problems just like any other couple would have and the marriage ended in divorce. Miggie never gave up hope of us getting back together which eventually happened in July '08. Two months into the marriage Miggie was told he had lung cancer and would have to under go surgery. Miggie spent a month in the hospital due to complications from the surgery; then was released to a local re-hab to learn to walk again.He was in the re-hab for 4 months then came home to his wife & other family members. He was home for 7 months when we learned that he had liver cancer..we had planned a trip to the beach because his dream was to see the beach before he passed away. We were to leave on the 16th of Oct. but he was hospitalized on the 9th into the Critical Care unit and his condition continued to decline and he passed away on the 20th..with his immediate family at his side..and his legacy will live on through his children; grandchildren & great-grandchildren. We love you always...RIP babe..
