My Story

Teddie passed away on April 26, 2008 at Kennestone Hospital, Marietta, Georgia. Fight against heart disease. She is survived by her husband, Stephen, her children, daughter Jamie, sons, Brenden & Austin, her parents Ted and Maggie, her sisters Amy, Char & Amanda, 5 nephews, 2 nieces, great-niece & nephew, aunts, great-aunts & uncles. Services were held at Woodstock Funeral Home. Teddie was laid to rest in her favorite place.

During her lifetime, nothing appeared impossible to Teddie. She met the words “it can't be done” with the enthusiastic challenge of a “wanna bet” attitude. Teddie was able to recognize the possibilities a new idea held, even when those around her could not. For Teddie, the traditional way of doing things fell short of her expectations, especially if there were original and untested methods for handling a challenge. For Teddie Joanne Tyner-Payne, the fun of living her life could be found in the challenge.
